Socket Head Cap Screws

Socket Screws:  They come As Socket Head, Button, and Flat Head Cap Screws. They are also known by the common term "Allen Head" Screws. The unique thing about Socket screws  is the socket drive required in any head style needed for your particular application. They all need an Hex allen wrench to tighten the screw.

Socket Head Cap Screws are used for a variety of applications. They are best used where a great degree of strength and hardness are required. They have a hex shaped recess drive and the most common socket head cap screw has a cylindrical head. If using a flat head cap screw, it will not require the use of a washer unless it is a countersunk washer as the flat head socket screw is designed to lay flush on top of the surface of which it is entered.

 

They provide a great avenue due that do not provide a comfortable clearance for a typical wrench or socket wrench since only an allen wrench is needed to tight a cap screw
